2 enemy geishas started killing off all of my 5 heirs ...and then my Daymo http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif...there was nothing I could do about it!

by the time I had my own Geisha, the one Geisha already had 5 honor and had already killed all my heirs http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif

Grrr... strongest unit in the game : GEISHA !

IIRC the Geishas are intended as an absolute game-ender. I personally have never played that far up the tech tree.. but what I've heard said again and again is that if you're getting killed by Geishas, that's cuz you're a slow mofo and you deserve it http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

well not quite,I had a lot of Kensai and Battle field Ninjas, but I didnt feel like training Geishas...didnt anticiapte a Geisha offensive http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif,hopwefully it autosaved on a nice spot, enabling me to make some Geishas,or take the map comepletely...

I always end up with the entire tech tree, I play very defensive and love to have Heavy Cavelry etc.

I'll check on the save game in a few minutes...

anyone ever had a Geisha-Geisha battle ?

Yeah, they have some tea together.

Tons of Kensais and Battlefield Ninjas still can not stop a single Geisha from assasinating you generals. Unless, you go find the geisha house in the enemy territory and capture or destroy it. Best way to say goodbye to those geishas.

If you do not have tons of troops or can not effort that many troops, you better train some ninjas at the beginning. Geisha takes 8 seasons to train and required very advance tech. Ninja only takes one season to train with only a little investment on building. You should waste some ninjas rather than letting the heirs get killed.

Only geisha and ninja can kill an enemy geisha. If you have geishas, waste a new train geisha on enemy top geisha. Both will die as geisha always success. Use a high honor ninja on a honor 0 geisha (still fail sometimes).

Try quick save (Ctrl + S) at the end of every turn. You should save game (Esc to main menu) once in a while. My PC often crashes after a lot of quick save.

the honor of the ninja does not affect its success %. I had a honor 6 ninja, saved the game, then proceeded to send him to kill an honor 0 emmisary. Chance of success 95%.

Out of 20 tries, ninja only succeeded in 8. Talk about bullshit.

Anyway, the trick with ninja is to send a HORDE of them after a single target. I can get 30 ninjas and send them after an enemy daimyio (ninjas honor 0) in one turn, most or all of the ninjas fail, but ONE will succeed almost guaranteed. Same with geishas.

same with geishas=same when sending ninja vs geisha that is.

Tac, in nature there is something called probability.. 5% chance doesn't mean it won't happen.. doesn't mean out of 100 times it won't happen 50 of those.. it just means that the probability is very low it will happen 50 of those times if the probability for a single incident is 5%.

I was saving that for a surprise- I didn't mean you got a half-hour clip of the tea ceremony being enacted by geishas!

As I posted early (a few posts up), only two units can kill geisha: geisha and ninja.

BarryNoDachi,

First you will need STW WE or MI version.

Geisha: Citadel, Infamouse Ninja House, Legendary Tea House (?) and Tranquil Gardens.

Kensai: sword saint status. You get this when one of your general has achieve the status and can open the school. In some single campaign (depends on the time period), you will get this at the beginning. After the sword saint status, build up to Legendary Sword Dojo. Remember that Legendary level can only be built in a Citadel.

Battlefield Ninja: I don't remember exactly but here are some buildings that you will need: Sword Dojo, Ninja House (Level ?), Battlefield Ninja Dojo.

Swordmaster event happens when anyone of your soliders achieves 4 or 5 honour through battle. This can be achieved by killing a Daimyo. It does not require a general from my understanding of the event to get the honour and the school can be triggered by an Ashiguru. The kensai is out of proportion in effect. But you can kill him easily enough iff you know the key solutions.

Battlefield Ninja;
Infamous Ninja House and Sword Dojo.
After reading the sword forum about Ninja and them being special forces equivalent whom may have infact been samurai I am going to use them more often from now on.

Thx Pape, now I know how to trigger this swordmaster event quickly.

I also have the same believe that ninja is actually samurai who is sent out in a spy or assassin missions.

The first time I realised a ninja could kill a geisha was when the comp. attacked my geisha. Gave me quite a surprise when he succeded! I like the videos for ninja vs geisha though! especially the one where... the ninja fails. Cunning flowery dresses http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif
