From the same Ceasar's Palace confab as the other previews - but they supply the specs of the test system at the bottom.

Comments??
Barkhorn.
The computer on which it was tested has reasonable specs. You can't expect less, really.

its a pity they didn't mention the resolution the preview was running at and how smooth the gameplay was.
but unless activision are really stupid, then the will have had the game running with all the graphics settings maxed out with a solid framerate .... so tbh it looks quite encouraging http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif
looks like i won't need to upgrade afterall (3ghz/1gig Ram/9800)

i know that i'll need an upgrade but my comp is ancient and barely met the specs for MTW, however, CA has said it wont be that much more than MTW as i recall, just because that is the comp they used doesnt mean anything other than thats the comp they used http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
One can't expect anything but something that moves around in the upper lines for such tests. I would be surprised if this was the actual specs for a smooth and good looking game.

"And the battles themselves were not prolonged events; there was posturing and positioning, with gamers using the new Plantronics headsets for voice-communication, but once the battle was engaged it seemed to go quickly."
Sweet Voice communication And then there's this:
"Not only that, but the AI is smart"
Which was kind of ruined when he said this immediately afterwards:
"and units will not sit and fight to the death, but rather will run away if being overrun by the enemies."
*sigh* Spoken like a true person who has never played a TW game before. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
RisingSun that could apply to his troops, not the AI troops. He doesn't really say.
