The age difference is a problem sometimes, but I think I can get over it. She's a 24 year old Korean/Jew gamer nerd. Her mom is a loud, overbearing Korean woman and her dad is a rich Jewish cowboy from Texas. I am a 34 year old educated, pessimistic, gun-crazy Oklahoma white trash boy who likes to change careers every 4 or 5 years. The world has a funny way of working sometimes.

Very nice, she's young AND nerdy! Age difference, shmifference. If you consider yourself to be somewhat old school then treat that 10 year difference as being part of the natural and righteous order of things and roll with it!

Yes, unfortunately South-East Asians are obsessed with fair skin complexions. However, I was somewhat surprised when I visited my homeland of the Philippines. It seems some of the youth are Americanizing, and believed "dark is beautiful", while one of my old grandpop's complimented me on my "lighter skin". I hate this, but even I, slightly favor the fairer skin over the morenas (girls with darker complexions).

On a larger scale, East Asians "hate" (look-down) on South-East Asians, because of their darker skin. India also feels the same way about "fair" skin.. The reason why some Asians feel offended if you get their origins wrong, is because a lot of Asians think their superior to other Asians.

6 years ago I had the pleasure of traveling for 3 weeks in Japan - we were very lucky in our timing and experienced the full cherry blossom at almost every place we visited. It had not started yet when we spent the first days in Kyoto, but it was really amazing when we returned 1-2 weeks later (especially walking the Philospher's Path was a very memorable experience).

You pictures bring back very fond memories, Beefy, and I would certainly like to visit Japan again (I am still in the process of convincing Mrs Clegane :sweatdrop:)

Thanks. Indeed, the current political and economic atmosphere has created a bit of a perfect storm on all ARs. Even worse, most AR-10s being manufactured now are going straight to the military to replace M4s in Afghanistan, so they're especially difficult to get. Luckily, I know a guy so I didn't get a jacked up price, although I did have to wait quite a bit longer than I would have 2 or 3 years ago.
