Hey,

I was wondering if anyone has or knows were I can find recording of the Battle of Hastings and/or the Battle of Stanford Bridge scenerio. I have a school project involving invasions of England throughout history and I figured that these would make great visual aids. My own attempts at the Hastings battle haven't gone well; my computer chugs badly until enough of the units are killed off. By the time I get a decent frame rate, the battle is decided. I will be running the battle recording off another, faster computer, however, so I hope to get it working in that manner. I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

Thanks.

Hello DeceasedHorse. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif This must be Cool Name week.

That really stinks that you keep losing those battles. There is nothing worse than beating you.* http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-inquisitive.gif

I'm sure someone here will oblige you. You are simply asking for a replay of a successful battle of Hastings and/or Stamford Bridge, correct?

Precisely. Hastings would be especially nice, since my computer can actually run Stamford, sort of. I'm just very out of practice with M:TW and don't have time to re-learn the game well enough.

Thanks for your help,

Any takers out there want to show off their skills to a group of students?

DH, is there a desired outcome or do you just need a nice clean and lag-free replay?

An outcome as close to what historically happened would be preferable. That is, you should win the battle of Hastings http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-jester.gif

Thanks for all your help, guys. Few game communities would have been as supporting.

I also won Hastings pretty well. I liked the way it turned out. We all advanced as one, the English become a sort of disorganized ring on top of the hill, I (I wasn't paying attention to the comps) advanced my archers and began opening fire on the Saxons. I then advanced my infantry up to bash them up. Finally, I used my knights on the right flank and later in the middle, the saxons routed and the king ran under cavalry, infantry, and a hail of arrows.

But I can't figure out how to upload the replay oO.

If you zip the replay, you might be able to e-mail it to me, if the file sizes of the replays on this sight are an accurate measure of the file size. Try mailing it to Paladin2222 AT Hotmail DOT com if you get a chance.
