Muslim princesses?

Dumb question, but I don't think I've seen princesses from Muslim factions in MTW - is that right? Will Christian princesses marry Muslim Princes? thanks for any advice.

Thanks for the responses. I'm still not sure what's going on with the Muslim princes. I tried to marry my eldest off with no success. But then when he became Sultan, he was already married. Have CA taken out worrying about unmarried Princes for Muslim factions on the grounds that they have no princesses?

Not sure about that but christian princesses can marry into muslim factions. Today my German princess got married to an Egyptian prince. My guess is that all Muslim princes remain unmarried until they become Sultan but if they do marry beforehand they have the advantage of "producing" heirs before they are sultun.

well, once a muslim prince becomes the sultan, the parchment usually shows a bunch of 'pre-existing' children (not the last ones of the previous sultan either)... i assume, muslim princes are married to harems before 'officially marrying' in the game. i guess, they left that ring slot open for marrying muslim princes to christian princesses.

yeah, I also like to get Christian princesses into my princes' harems.

It's funny how I managed to get a Byz princess, Danish, and HRE ones to all say yes one game.

be prepared for even more rejections than normal though as they most likely wouldn't want to.

it's possible to marry any Catholic princess to any other non-Catholic faction's prince.

The unexistence of muslim princesses is one of the real historical aspects of the game, albeit in a ...hmm... lazyish way (no offense CA).

The faith prohibits any muslim woman to marry a non-muslim man, unless the groom converts of course.

They could have made it so that muslim princesses could only marry muslim princes/generals etc. But since the system is global, they took out them altogether.

Same concern, I guess, leaves us out of pagan princesses because muslim men can't get married to pagan women (but a "woman of the book").

Um - I suspect Kristaps is right. Muslim princes probably don't need to worry about marrying a princess to ensure an early heir. When they become king, even if previously unmarried, they will have heirs (and I believe be given a wedding ring to signify that they are married). They can still of course marry Christian princesses, but there is no urgency comparable to that with Catholic heirs to the throne and probably no point doing so.
