I apologise for the confusion: it is not a patch like 1.01 beta or 1.02 beta.

CA is very busy with M:TW and will likely not have time to make a patch.
http://www.totalwar.org/maps/stats/StatSwapper2.0.exe does offer an alternative stat for online games, friendlies only. It also contains the original 1.01 and 1.02 files, so you'll always be able to restore.

This stat has been made for online games, but they'll 'work' in offline too. Playability in offline was not a consideration.
