View Full Version : Modding support costs
I was looking at the files with the gnome editor and wondering how the support costs are figured out.
I noticed the number 3 for crossbowmen and highland clansman and looked at there total support costs in the game for 60 men and it shows up as a total of 22 florins. What I could not do is figure out the formula of how that 3 = 22 florins for 60 men
Well I figured out 1 method but would like to know if there is a quicker 1
you start with the number .125 then you multiply that by the support cost integer and you then multiply that by the unit size and that gives you what the total support cost is.
Another question do I have to use whole #'s or can I use #'s like 1.5 or 2.5 for support cost integers. well I think I will do it the hard way and try it and if the game crashes or I get some odd # for support costs then I know it cant be done.
Well I put in 2.5 for crossbows and all the game did was round that down to 2 and then calculated it so whole #'s have to be used

Heh I seem to have that alot aswell http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif It seems as if asking inspires me to see the solution to the problem I asked myself. Funny that.
