Very cool Thanks Ypo.
You're from HK, eh? Many other MTWers there?
Somebody post a reminder just before this TV series starts, July 17
This is awesome. I need to watch it.

Hey thats pretty cool, I didn't realize the History Channel was making a series using Rome: Total War too. Should be pretty good publicity for the game, and it'll be advertised to the perfect audience.

Excellent point, Chaos Who knows, maybe it'll really take off One thing is for sure, it can't hurt
The thought occurs to me that, despite all the gaming hype over the past two decades -- and all the years of fun we wargamers have had -- games like MTW and RTW are finally getting to the point of being so encompassing that they're finally approaching a level of true realism. (Hmm... I wonder if I could be less specific?)

Thanks. In any case, no, MTWers are few in Hong Kong. Generally Japanese or games with Chinese themes are preferred, and then like the really big Western games like CS or Warcraft 3.
I any case, It forgot to give Blue's News credit for this news. :) But I wonder if the lighting in the RTW can be tweaked for use in TV shows - right now I find everything a bit too bright and sunny.

w00t, now if only i could get the History Channel....
It sounds pretty sweet. And as luck would have it, the History Channel comes in the basic cable package I have. I just hope that I get whatever channel Time Commanders will be on when they bring it to North America in the fall.
