been on here for a while but think its about time i should post, plus i want access to post on the other guild bits, like some of the discussions going on in there, well I'm from UK and play medieval with viking expansion, not always to success full but love blood bath battles in them and killing all those that chicken out and give in

About killing the prisoners: well, sometimes it's not a bad idea to ransom the chickens back, especially that they might get you some fat cash. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hello and welcome. My advice, for what it's worth, is to kill the prisoners if there's no nobles amongst them like a 1 or 2 * general. If there is ransom them back as it can be good for the cash. However, if there's anything like or above a 5* general amongst them kill them all. You can't run the risk he'll be back next day with a lot of harder, more excitable friends.

A little tip, if you fight the battle yourself and take prisoners, before leaving battle after a win kill them on battle screen by clicking on the small prisoner icon on bottom left. Gets your general a Scant Mercy/No Mercy etc trait that increases their dread rating, good for reputation if he's in charge of an unruly province.

Killing Prisoners too often will reduce the morale of your soldiers though as they lose their cut of the ransom, but as Drake said, you shouldent have to many rebel problems with a blood lovin' Governer
