Help! - Historical campaign - The Milan Road

Hello all,

I have a problem finishing the Historical campaign of Barbarossa - The Milan Road. One of the objectives is to get at least 8 men into the village and to let them stay there for at least 3 minutes. I do exactly that. Last time I had 62 Knights in the village. Nevertheless I lost because the AI said that I had not those men in the village. I played it several times now. How can I complete this game? Can somebody help me out?

I had a similar problem with that one but played it some time ago, so forgive me if I'm a bit vague

From what I remember, there is a marked out circle in the middle of the village. I think your men have to be inside this circle, not just in the village.
Also I seem to remember that my men kept charging out of the circle to attack nearby troops.
