1.03 Questions on units

Ok i not tried these stats,but why has the ammo of CA been reduced?

But in most battles i play,i nearly always use my arrows up with them. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif

I agree with monks been stronger as they should be in the game....

Ninja should have stealth and speed and kill quick which is good...

Only the few i have really look at yet..Will do a little plyin in custom with them though.

If i host a 3v3 4v4 this gunna cause problems? Some only want to ply 1.02 other only 1.03..Is it gunna be harder to find ppl to ply in these games?

I agree the cav archers are great skirmishers at the start of a battle but they no longer have the ability to make ragged the lines of the enemy

The SA and CA use the same bow now so that the Mongol light cav can have a different bow. The CA must have less arrows than SA so that they do not win against SA in ranged duel. The CA has mobility and charge capabilities which SA does not. Is 18 arrows the exact right number? I don't know. If it's a problem we can change it. The v1.03 stat can evolve.

A quiver holding 12 arrows for mounted samurai isn't rare.

A quiver holding some 30 arrows for ASHIGARU archers (footarchers in sengoku jidai are ASHIGARU, and extra supply quivers holding 100 shafts isn't rare. Even the STW consultant dr. S. Turnbull knows all these facts.

Another fact is that mounted samurai archers are rare, if not extinct in sengoku jidai (especially in the later half).
Reason: a lot of yari equipped peasants were activily participating in battle, thus a bow was considered worthless and mounted samurai preferred some kind of yari. In previous era's battles were 'archery duels' between nobles/samurai. Early samurai are associated with the way of 'bow and horse'.

To answer your question: there are many different types of bows used in Japan. Mounted samurai used the very powerful and large assymetrical bow, which could fire large and very heavy arrows. The ashigaru did 'not' use this kind of bow.

LCAV have great speed and decent HTH (charge), abilities which the lsam (bowashi) has not.
