For those who are fans of The Lord of the Rings soundtracks, Howard Shore is going on an 11 city international tour May through September to conduct The Lord of the Rings Symphony with local orchestras. I just bought tickets to the concert in Philadelphia on July 13. Here is the write-up on the concert:

SHORE Lord of the Rings Symphony

A once-in-a-lifetime concert with Oscar-winning film composer Howard Shore conducting “The Lord of the Rings” Symphony: Six Movements for Orchestra and Chorus, with projected illustrations and storyboards from the motion picture trilogy and the centenary editions of The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien’s Ring and The Hobbit.

For information on what cities are included in the tour, you can go to Howard Shore's website (http://www.howardshore.com/).

Needless to say, July 13 won't get here soon enough for me
