Just wondering... Would be great if theres a mod, or something that can allow you to play The Golden horde http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Would be very nice if someone who knows could help me... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-help.gif Im almowst sure theres some way to do it....

I think i read somewhere that u can write or rewrite something to make unplayable factions playable....

Sorry, that doesnt answer your question, seems you would have to mod your game, our download a mod to play the Golden Horde, ah well, at least I showed you how to get 5 new factions.

ok sit down and enjoy the ride
i've added the golden horde before and this should do the trick. if it doesn't work come back to me. of course this guide only works for mtw without VI

first, find your mtw directory. this should pose no trouble, otherwise quit now

go to campmap/startpos/early (or high or late)

scroll all the way down until you find the active factions section, or use search

have you tried starting the medieval_tw.exe with -ian switch?

this turns on god mode and you can switch to GH with ctrl+shift+6 IIRC

from command line within TW home directory

type medieval_tw.exe -ian

and hit enter

voila, god mode.

If you want to play the golden horde in GA mode, you will need a Mod or add GA shields you self. I you play GA with the horde with just adding them to the startpos files, the game will crash.

ok first start up a doc prompt by typing command in run dialog if win9x/ME, and cmd if NT/2k/XP based system.

then change directory to the C:\Program Files\Total War\Medieval-Total War directory.

in there, type medieval_tw.exe -ian

hit enter and MTW boots up with god mode which allows switching of factions through ctrl+# keys.

hold down shift for more and horde is ctrl+shift+6.
