Well I fought a battle as Almohads against Egypt. I had 2200 troops and the enemy 2100. I fought hard and well but as always somebody flees after high casualties. So when I had crushed the enemy he sent reinforcements. I could deal with that BUT my troops were exhausted and had taken casualties. The men who decided to flee were not gone of the map so I couldn't get any reinforcements. TO make a long story short or at least shorter I got my reinforcements when the enemy had completely destroyed me. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-wall.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-furious3.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif

So my question is. Has the reinforcements system in RTW changed. When the troops flee does it take AGES to get of the map so I can bring in new troops? HAS it just changed somehow, everything is better than it was in MTW.

Yes it has changed... now you can ahve new armies come up from another direction, but only if you have placed it within a certain distance of the battle and in that direction.

Also we can have our own 20 units and another 20 units under an 'allied' general. So the problems should be easier, but the reinforcements... well I don't know but it seems like it is like the old self.

I had fleeing troops get lost and wander around while routing which is really annoying since I couldn't replace those troops until they had completely withdrawn.

I also had units rout off the field wherein you can't control them anymore and rally them but they still haven't routed far enough that their unit picture would disappear.
