why only one???? i used to have four on my PC, plus my regular installation http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif however, it really depends on what kind of game you want to play. if you want the same style and time period........ go for medmod. if you want something totally different........ go for Napoleon TW or Middle Earth TW. if you are interested in a completely new map, interesting tactics and *drumroll* elephants, go for Hellinistic Total War. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

If you want to remain in keeping with the medieval theme, go for Wesmod - but be very sure that you're good at the game first - it makes it significantly harder.
If you want to shell everything to bits, and have lost of fancy smoke around the battlefield - go for NTW.
The other two, I don't know about. To be honest, I wouldn't bother with the Hellenic one - I'm not saying it's bad or anything, but Rome's going to be out before the end of the year, and the others can keep you going before a Classical version of Total War is required.

yes, the troops now have weapons http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-smile.gif and iirc, METW can only do custom battles for now i belive it is currently being worked on so that sometime in the near future it will have a playable campaign map. and no i was not suggesting having 5 installations on your comp, it does take up a little bit more of your HD space than one installation http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif . then again, i only have a little over 40 gig on my HD and i had no problem with it http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif . and now that you are throughly confused, i leave you. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif
Based on my very limited experience, I'd say go with Wesmod/medmod. It keeps the theme intact and simply adds boundless value.
