Had to post this...
To Storm, Ace, Aleborg, Ren, Mizu's Yuuki and TosaInu and AggonyKasuga..Thank you all. It was both a privilege and a pleasure to take part in that fantastic 4v4 1.03 battle.
The smoke clouds on the horizon to the right, the sound of gunfire like distant thunder echoing across the valley, the communication....It felt like I was actually there!
A pity there was no conclusion due to drop but what a battle all the same!
*Bows to all*
Thanks again guys, look forward to the next.
............Orda

OrdaKhan,
You were there. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
That was an epic Sengoku 4v4 v103 that Monsta hosted on Obake's Horselands. Defenders from left to right were OrdaKhan, AggonyKasuga, MizuYuuki and MizuTosa. Looking from the defenders side the attackers were Ren, RageMonsta, RageStorm and Ace.
On the right, Storm, Ace, Yuuki and Tosa took interesting stabs at each other with cavalry and infantry. Ace took up a nice flank position on our right with cav support from Storm, but Storm kept up a threat of attack to my front which held most of my units on the line facing him. Monsta kept trying to get in cavalry stabs at Yuuki and Kasuga. OrdaKhan and Ren were in a staring contest.
I think I triggered the debacle on the right flank when I lost patience with Storm shooting a YC I had on the extreme right with his CA. I sent the YC forward to attack the CA with an NC supporting, but they were overwhelmed by quick response by Storm and Ace with their own cav. Tosa moved his cav taisho forward, and I signalled him to forget it. However, at that moment Monsta, Storm and Ace commenced with their attack. Tosa's taisho was exposed just enough that he was killed early in the attack, and despite further support which arrived too late from my taisho, an NC and a YS, the right side collapsed in a rout taking my taisho with it.
While this was happening, Kasuga was holding against Monsta's attack, and eventually repelled it while my front line fell to Storm's infantry after inflicting heavy losses on Storm. Just as Monsta was about defeated, Ren sprang into life with a rush on OrdaKhan on our left. However, he got many cavalry units caught up on OrdaKhan's spear infantry, and he eventually routed.
Meanwhile, Kasuga had repelled the first elements of Storm's remaining forces which were advancing from the right. A remarkabale acheivement by Kasuga was routing two of Storm's warrior monk units with a YS and two SA. However, as Storm continued to bring in his last remaining units to fight Kasuga, Ace advanced from the right with most of his army intact and Storm made a timely rear attack on Kasuga's weakened YS taisho with his own weakened HC taisho. Although Kasuga was able to turn and meet this backstab his taisho and supporting units routed after some desperate fighting.
Meanwhile, OrdaKhan was regrouping after chasing Ren to meet Ace and Storm's advance. Kasuga still had two units. At this point the ISP gods intervened and slapped Monsta with the infamous 2 hour disconnect! I would have liked to see the conclusion of the battle, because I think the outcome was still in doubt, and the big difference with this ending as opposed to so many v102 endings was going to be that guns would not be the deciding factor. There were a couple of guns left on each side, but fatigued guns were not going to hang around long once things started to heat up again, and they probably didn't have much ammo left anyway.
Ace 1085, Storm 1029 and Kasuga 917 kills. I can't seem to remember what the Mizu's or Monsta got.
The battles under v103 have a more epic feel to them now in the sense that there are more small individual actions going on. I've had a couple of 1v1's on totomi that were quite dramatic and went down to the last few units fighting hth to decide the winner.
I tried to contact Ren after the game to see if he wanted to go over any tactical issues, but he was AFK. I'll catch him later.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. Dammit! I knew I shouldn't have tried to remember 8 names.
Monsta, How could I have forgotten you? Please forgive me.
Tera, I sure did enjoy both your 2v3 battles
(notice I got mixed up-Ale was in your game.)
Put it down to the time (v/late), the panic or my adled brain.
I mentioned these games in a reply to FasT's post on 1.03 8)
Guess I'm gonna have to work out how to download and work the battle logfile because I obviously can't rely on my memory.
