A bit of feedback for you guys.
In v1.03 Mongols were given a unique bow (probly a good idea), which was given higher accuracy and half the power of the Japanese bow.
I do not fully know the reasons behind this, but on the face of it, I have some questions. These stem from the fact that historically--
- the Mongol bow had significantly greater penetration than the Japanese bow
- the Mongol style of archery was basically to flood the air with a hail of arrows, same as the style used by the Japanese archers in the game, and a style with reduced emphasis on accuracy. At the time of the invasion, the Japanese were practically the opposite, each individual taking their time, and purportedly having great accuracy. So actually if anyone would have greater accuracy in a Mongol-Jap matchup one would think it would be the Japanese.
So, on the face of it, it would appear that the depiction of the Mongol bow may be one thing that could be rethought. Also, Mongol spears were not given the maneuver penalties as the Japanese spears in v1.03, a possible oversight.
