i couldnt find anything in the readme of this mod, but does it alter the rebelliousness of your provinces and loyalty of your generals? ive been playing for a year, and after playing many, many times as the HRE, ive never had trouble with general loyalty or provinces rebelling--after i downloaded and installed kekvitmod, it was almost impossible to get a general with a hgih loyalty and just about every province was rebelling for random reasons--i had 2400 soldiers in hungary and it still had a 10% chance of rebellion

and thats another thing, why when your provinces have some remote chance of rebelling, they always rebel? i mean your province will have a 2% chance of rebelling (which is one out of every 50 turns) and they rebel with these massive armies of heavily armed soldiers...bah, i dunno anymore http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/flat.gif

I don't really know, as I've never played kekvit mod, but it may of lowered the starting King's influence and the rebelliousness setting of provinces. You can check by looking in the SetAttributes for a single digit number in the list (the higher this is the more rebellious) and the SetStartLeader line.

Actually I'm playing a Kekvit mod HRE campaign now. It was rather hairy at the start but I havn't yet had a civil war or large rebellion (and my king has been stuck in wales and the holy land). Number of enemies is down to four as well.

I can't see any difference between the rebelliosness for a normal early campaign and a Kekvit Early campaign.

i noticed a big difference..most times i play early HRE, i invade france, then england, denmark, italy, hungary, and finally poland--normally i have no enimies by 1205 and i control constantinople and khazar to stop spread of egyptians--but with kevitmod, as soon as i attacked france, england went after me in burgandy, italy went for tyrolia, poland went for brandenburg and pomerania and hungary went for austria--and with all my armies in france, i was defenseless...it was rather odd that so many factions attacked me that early, that fast--especially since i had barely increased my starting boundries

in another game the same happened and i was able to fight them off, but after each enemy was down to 1 last province, i had a civil war (VERY odd since my generals loyalty normally increases when they are fighting--especially when they are fighting a lot and hold title(s))--ill check the stuff tombom said though--see if its any different

I recommend a different order.

attacking the French on the maignot line is one of the last things you want to do at the start.

blitzing the Italians and Danes simultaneously is good while holding off the French.

go after the French around the same time as the huns and I normally never war on the English but keep a merry balance of power and have them restrain the French.

a good force of militia in Lorraine forests can kill tons of impetuous French knights.

I think kekvitmod did have a bit more AI competence though so you may have lost a few battles and if war is't going smoothly for the HRE, you can be sunk really fast.

I meant I couldn't see any difference in the files. I don't play HRE enough to tell whether there is any gameplay difference or not.

The only reason I was playing them then is because I had changed the royal units around a bit and I wanted to find out how good swabian swordsmen were against viking huscarls.
