We know that Wedge formation gives a +3 attack / -3 Defense for hand to hand combat, but does it effect ranged attacks as well?

Does a Kensai in Wedge formation, charging guns, have a -3 defense against the gunfire?

Do guns in Wedge formation have a +3 to hit the Kensai?

---
Just from experience, my instinct says No to both questions. Even if the wedge form DID work to give +3 to gunfire, it would probably not be worth it because the men are not nicely lined up. Furthermore, it doesn't make any sense why standing in a triangle would make ranged attacks any more/less effective.

What do you guys think?

I asked this in the Wedge section and was answered- but what about hf command? Does increased defence protect? And why can't you make a rampart from the dead bodies?

Dionysus9,
Armor determines the protection from ranged fire. It's a separate parameter from defend. Formation does not change armor values. Higher honor gives archers more accuracy and guns may also be slightly better. The improvement seems quite small. Also, archer effectiveness is reduced more by armor upgrades than gun effectiveness which is hardly affected at all.

It gives a moral boost is that correct?

Fast,

You know this. The primary effect of +1 honor is +1 melee, +1 defend and +2 morale.
