2 Questions...
How is the unit honour calculated ?
sometimes an unit kills just 5 men while losing 10 or so and they get a +1 honour, while another unit kills 50 men and loses 10
and doesnt gain any honour at all..
Question #2 :
Is there a Dutch Clan ?
Thanks,

The differences you expirence happens, because in a previously fought battle they have killed a number of enemies, and the system, as you know or not, keeps track on every single soldier.
If it is MP, it is maybe because those with low kill and honour gain, has a lower honour.
I use always low honour ninja, with just a few kill they gain quickly honour 2 http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks...
is tehre a difference between units ?
is the number of kills required to level up the same for every one ?
say if warrior monks kill 300 units, and Ashis do the same, will they both get say +3 honour ?
is there a nice little table somewhere?
#1) For combat units, I think the kill per honour gain is the same except for Battlefield ninja and Kensai (units that consist of smaller number of men).
For ninja and geisha, the honour gain will depend on the honour of their target and the number of kill. Example, a honour 0 ninja has to kill 2 or 3 targets with honour 0 to gain his first honour or he can gain his first honour by killing 1 honour 2 target.
I am not 100% sure but some vet around here can explain better.
#2) In Single player, STW is about Japan only. There is only Dutch traders and Portuguese traders later in the campaign. They will have some guns on sale.

Thanks.
as for #2, I meant online STW playing clans...
I don't know, but you can run a search at the Totalwar.org page (scroll down to the end of this page and click on the link).
If there is none, you can start one all for yourself and be the Daimyo (leader) of the clan

Mithrandir there are many online players from the Netherlands but as for a Dutch clan I am not sure. You could ask in the online foyer I suppose.
