Game details: Medmod, VI, Normal, GA, Early, , Almo
I've been raiding Valencia from Cordoba, in an effort to whittle down the mighty BYZ army that has arrived in Spain. (For those who aren't sure, it's a two bridge river province.) My policy has been to attack 1 bridge, and then to send all my Cav down to the other, which is about half a mile or more from the first with Jinette (mercs), Sah Cav, and Germanic knights. And roll up the Byz flank, much routing and killing to follow.
I've done this twice, and each time pullled out as I haven't the strength to hold it along with Cordoba.(We're nearly at the point of this post, so stick with me).
On my third attack, I lined up, and gasp, the two bridges were not far off being side by side. IMHO they were not much over an ARB range apart.
It was a real slog to win this one, he had plenty of spear and a few misssle units, but I managed to break through.
Anyone else experienced moving bridges?
cheers
