View Full Version : Now i have two questions....
First one: Where could i download battle replays played by the elite players?
Second one: I know what dread, pithy and acumen do, but could somebody please explain as exactly as possible who, when and to what degree they affect.

long story: try to search for vices & virtues (VnV's) on the board. there are a bunch of threads on farming VnV's, but I couldn't come up with one that explains the basic ones too quickly. reckon you have to dig up a bit.
short story:
command: only has effects in battles, giving bonuses to your troops if your general has more than 0 command stars.
dread: a governor with high dread will have a higher loyalty (happiness) in his province. no effect in combat.
acumen: each feather of a governor increases the base income of that province by 10%.
piety: how religious that man is. a province with high zeal will be less happy with an atheist governor, and vice versa.
loyalty: if it is really low, that general may rebel against your king.
for kings, these traits apply to all provinces rather than just one, but with some differences. notably, one acumen feather is only 2% for kings, not 10% as for governors.
sorry i don't have time to go deeper into details, but some threads that already exist on the board will be much better anyway.
command: +1 attack for every odd numbered star, and +1 to defense for every even numbered one.
will show additional valor on units in battle for every 2*s of general.
however, this valor doesn't include +2 morale nor does it increase missile accuracy.
dread: +5 loyalty for every dread is a nice rule of thumb.
gov with no dread can actually lower loyalty.
acumen is covered
piety is for zeal purposes with it having an effect on loyalty with zeal of province vs. piety of gov. high piety and low zeal or vice versa isn't a good combo.
zeal boosting VnV's can boost efficiency of your crusades and jihads by more troops generated. High zeal dudes also survive inquisistions more easily.
loyalty if 3 or less, that general needs watching and if high command esp. of royal blood, can lead a civil war against your king.
The king's Accumen also increased profits from every province by 2% per feather.

Katank, what are you actually saying? That the units get extra valour + a bonus attack and a bonus defence or what?
Oh, and piety increases a general's chance to survive the inquisition (Katank already said that, but he said zeal in stead of piety).

Oh, and piety increases a general's chance to survive the inquisition (Katank already said that, but he said zeal in stead of piety).
Unit get +1 attack for every odd number of star of the general.
Unit get +1 Defense for every even number of star of the general.
So, for every 2 stars the general have, he give +1 att and +1 def bonus to his troop. This bonus will show up as +1 valour but without the +2 morale points as the real valour gained through combat.
Remember that each combat valour point give: +1 att, +1 def and +2 morale. I believe that province advantage bonus and master level building bonus count as real combat valour (which include +2 morale).
yep. the general valor is without morale bonus whereas the unit by itself's valor is built in real valor
the only reason I said the bonus attk and bonus defense is to dispel the conception that 4* and 5* woudl have no impact wheras you actually get +1 attack.
I learn with each new post, i thought that say 6 and 7 are equal http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smokin.gif
