I still playing my Novrogod campaign and waiting on the Golden Horde. Side note is I noticed they don't get a whole lot of new unit when you hit high.

Anyway I suddenly can't move my armies via seas. I have ship almost everywhere and when I hit the v button there are no gaps. Plus I have just one enemy...the french who are almost gone and have no ships. Does anyone know why I suddenly can't move my army. It actually the English sea zone I can't go past. Its very strange.

Anyone?

do you have ships in every sea region to your destination?cause if you do then all you gotta do is after the end of a year you can take your army right to the province.

Hmm Josephus

did the port in the province you have the troops in get destroyed by some natural desaster? - thats the only thing I can think of if you have green seas - another thing might be if you want to invade a neutral you have to clear out their navy first.

Okay this continues to get weird. My armies are in Kiev and I can't land troops anywhere except in Africa. I'M AT WAR WITH NO ONE

Even better is from Lithuania I can't land troops anywhere except in Italy. What gives? Ever since I entered the high age the sea traveling has been weird. I don't seem to be able to land troops anywhere if the country that owns that land also has ships there. Is that the way it works now?

Someone help?

Apparantly, this is how it should work, although it has never happened to me and it was pointed out on a thread in the Lordz forum.

I'm having a similar problem. I'm wondering though, should I be able to move troops via ship to an Allied province or are you not able to because that would be considered an act of war?

A little confused

If you move your troops to an allied faction's province it is considered an invasion.

About the fact that you are not able to move your troops to a neutral factions province when there are other ships in the area. It seems logical to me, you need to destroy their navy first, because obviously they won't just and watch as you bring a force right on their shore

ok, i don't mean any offense, but have you checked all of the following:

1. you have a port in the source province
2. you have a port in the destination province
3. you are not at war with anybody (i know you said you were not at war, but if you click on the round button with the hands (diplomacy button ?), does it actually show that you are at war with nobody ?). You can also do as people suggested above, press V and check if there is a continuous string of green (not yellow or red) sea provinces between the source and the destination province.

landing troops in another faction's province usually means an act of war (exceptions are when they are under attack and you're helping them out, or lifting a siege, etc). Crusades are another exception, of course.

I've heard that allies of the victim of your invasion will block your ships too, altough they do allow trade. But I don't know if this is true.

Ludens, I don't think so.

I believe that you need to be directly attacking that coutnry to have that country's fleet block yours.

also, it's possible that coutnry B would have a ship next to country A's province and vice versa.

If you try to attack both countries, both attacks will go through, whether A and B were allied or not, provided these are the only possible disruptions in the naval link.

Still no help here. Yes I'm at peace with everyone (I know how to check). And of course my sea routes are connected because my trade work AND like I said I can land troops in Italy from Russia but no where in between. This is weird.

Could it be the type of ships in between because it started when I was able to get new ships. Maybe its the type of ships they other factions have. Someone help? The Mongols are coming but once there gone I need to figure this out. Anyone?

Hey, Joesephus V:

I am a rookie, so I don't know, but that also happened to me for a short while when I had the British and the Ilses were being taken over because of poor morale. Then I could not get back to the Island nation to fight off the invading troops. Then after a while I could again. I am guessing but it may be, as you say the type of ships or the amount of ships, or a blockade from ther enemy, they may have more ships blocking your route, or something like that.

It was weird for a while for me also but thenlater I was able to get back to the Isle and take back almost all that I had lost.

I always like to use quotes so here goes.

In Critical and baffling situations, it is always best to return to first principle and simple action
- Sir Winston S. Churchill

Good luck.

Yeah I think that what it is. Because it began when there were tons of ships in the sea and every year I can get to different places and to different factions. Its not like I really want to invade these places but its the point I can't. I weird like that and need to know answers as to WHY. But I think it has to do with other wars and the amounts of ships.

I'm just surprised that other people haven't had this happen or maybe they haven't noticed.

Anyway the Mongols arrived with 20K and are next to my most productive province in Kiev so I won't be sailing anyway for a while.
