Nice links with some excellent information, there The replay thing was a total mystery to me before.
No luck yet with my online problems (i.e. not being able to play at all. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif ) I hope I can sort it out and make good use of this advice.

Hi Shinano
with the advice on How to save and replay battles.
All replays can be saved in the Dump Log.
After the battle..go to Dump log..the battle just fought will be saved as...replay. All recorded battles are named this.(that is why they overwrite if you don't re-name them)
Select..replay..Click on..File..Rename..and then rename the battle to whatever name you want. for example..me v you.
The next battle will not then overwrite this one but will be saved as ..replay
I have many battles saved this way.
If you want to view it you will have to rename the battle..replay.. for viewing and then rename it to the name you gave it.
Sounds complicated but it only takes seconds to do.
Happy viewing http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif
