Does anyone know how to make buildings indestructable? I am working on a mod and would like to keep the economic buildings and upgrades in place when a province switches hands.
With castles, is it possible to have them set to where they do not have the garrison ability?
I am making a horse and musket based mod and I would like the economic buildings to hang around after the province is taken, to help keep AI economy up and running. I am also looking at a way to make the field battles decisive with no sieges to break. I feel that they really don't have much of a place by the time that the mod happens.

I don't think so. I saw somewhere that the minimum garrison size was 200.

I would also love to know if this is possible. Forest Clearing is indestructable in VI, but I couldn't find any entry that looked as if you could make other buildings indestructable...

We are also looking into this, so any answer would be of a help.

Making 1 castle indestructable
I have worked on this yesterday and YES you can make 1 castle indesctructable. You do this by using the Forest Clearing building. It is hardcoded to be indestructable so if you use it also counts for your castle. It also means that you no longer have the real Forest Clearing Building.
You do this by copying the forest clearing tags into the castle entry (I made the first level VI castle indesctructable):
Column 1, Name/Identifier: CASTLE -> IMPROVED FARMLAND
Column 3, Localised name String: Warrior Hold -> Forest Clearing
Column 8, Strategy map infopic filename: warriors hold -> forest clearing
Then delete the old Improved Farmland. No improved farmlands unless you mod them back in under a different name
Since Castle, Castle2, etc. is replaced by Improved Farmland, Improved Farmland2, etc. you will need to edit all the building requisites in the build and unit production files. Also check column 11: AI building influences for building combos.
