Civil War by assasination/spies

Has any1 ever had a civil war erupt from a failed assasination or a failed treason try? ive tryed plenty of times to assasinate my own generals to get my assasins valour up and ive never had a civil war result from either one of these things happening.

I don't know. I've never had a civil war, though it would be fun. Of course, I've only played a few campaigns.

What is the overall loyalty of your generals and how good is your king? Also, does the target always know who sent the assassin? I'm trying to remember the failed assassination attempt box. Does it say whether or not your assassin talked before being killed like those when you capture another faction's assassin? Maybe you've just been lucky.

I have never had a civil war from a failed assassination attempt or Trial.

Though my most common reason for ever getting a civil war is Failed Crusades... Especially when another catholic faction attacks and takes my target province just before I do and I get the The province is back in the hands of ture christians, your crusade has been disbanded

Oh a good way to train up your assassins is to send them after your spies. As the parchment says Spies operate in secrecy and therefore will not be missed.

Whoever wins between the two one of them (either the spy or assassin) will probably gain valour.

you can put them in a province with a lot of agents and every time the game says : your bodyguard has cought and killed an enemy assaisn in that province one of the assaisn will rank up
