I've seen very nice pictures of miniatures in different web pages that could be fantastic Info_Pics for my Reconquista mod after some PhotoShop manipulation (even if they are not too much accurate with the historical period). I've just seen some of those pictures linked in the WoTR forum as examples for units.
Some weeks ago I e-mailed the author to ask permission to reproduce those pictures but I got no answer.
Does anybody know if I can use those pictures for a non-profitable goal as a mod? Can I have some legal problem?

I doubt that they will bother or even notice your mod. But you are tresspassing the copyright law if you use it.

All the art in the Two Crowns/WotR mod will be either made by me or are pieces of medieval art. I doubt that anyone has a copyright on those medieval pics and they are widespread over the internet anyway.

I discourage the use of art made by someone else but I think you can easily get away with it if you only use photos of miniatures. In the Warhammer miniature wargaming hobby everybody posts pics of miniatures and I have never seen anything of prosecution/warning.

suggest contact them and offer to include where the images came from in the readme file
