I just decided to load up a game of STW last night. Been ages since I had played. The first thing I noticed was the part of the general's scroll that kept track of battles lost and battles won. I really miss that in MTW. It doesn't really provide any value, but it's just info I like to know.
I agree. Granted, it's a very small thing, and I certainly didn't throw a fit over it not being in Medieval. Still, I did miss that feature. It would be cool if CA decided it should return in Rome.

From what little I've read on RTW, I think they are bringing back some of the STW features lost in MTW. The specific one I can recall is the short event movies.
Yeah, I saw that the short-event cutscenes were coming back (which makes me happy ). I haven't read anything about CA re-including generals' win-loss ratio, however. I will, of course, be ecstatic if they do, though http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Excellent I very much missed the cut scenes. I always loved the look on the priest's face as my ninja throttled him with his own rosary beads. Am I going to hell for that?
I also noticed that the art for STW seems of a higher quality than MTW. The building announcement scrolls just have a much better look in STW. It's interesting how they use period looking art for MTW, but I would rather the realism of STW. But that's just me. Oh and I still love when a Daimyo (spelling?) sends you one of your emissary's heads on a platter. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-stunned.gif

I like the idea of the generals cowardice vice comes into the battle speeches. If he is a coward he makes a speech then says something like a will be at the rear, the big girls blouse(he doesn't say that part) http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
I missed the music.
MTW chinzed on the music I thought. Even Shogun could get plenty repetive.
I do hope they give us at least another track or two in RTW instead of the TWO you got to listen to in MTW.
