Anybody ever done this before?

I downloaded the shogun tw mod for MTW and after hours of playing i decided i wanted to do something cool.
I went into the unit prod files and changed the price of kensai to like 100 fl, and their number to like 160.

Then i fought 7 ai armies armed with that crappy yari_peasant thing. Ha that was so awsome, my super kensai samurai wooped a army like 7 times it's size.

Anybody out there can think of anything more humiliating to do to the computer AI i'll give you a medal

Amir kensai or sword saint is an elite unit in shogun total war. If you double check my post it says shogun total war mod I suggest you go get it it's an awsome mod.

i have a bad history with mods, 90% of the mods i had destroyed the game and i had to reinstall the whole game back.

Reinstall?? NO man just make a copy of it in your C drive. Your computer , at least mine, automatically saves it in my computer/C:/program files/total war/medival total war. Just go there and make a copy of it, like cut and paste copy
You can make as many as you want, ihave like 5, one for BKB's mod(another well recomended one), one for Napoleonic TW, one for Hellenistic TW, one for shogun TW, and one for Fall of rome total war.

And your install remains the same

Inuyasha12, i think u are forgeting some things, A) that is only viable when you have a large Hard Drive (each game installation is over a gig) B) amir may be using a Hebrew version, so these mods may not work on a Hebrew version (if there is one) http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

but yes, i can think of something more fun, destroying peasant armies with artillary, heck, u dont even need to watch the battle. you can go out get a drink come back, and the battle will be over with almost no casualties for you.

Sounds like my Gun army in MTW...

I had an organ gun and a bunch of Arqs and Gunners defending a bridge from a swarm of Militia and Peasants.

Though I've never played STW, I've seen the stats for Kensai, and for such amazing stats its no wonder they only let you build one per unit.

You put 160 of those guys in a unit, well, you shouldn't be just killing 7 armies, you should be killing the entire MTW world. Christians and Muslims of the world unite to fight the kensai infidels/pagans/heretics

How did that work sounds like it would be an interesting battle as it would be a 3 way battle or were those 2 factoions allied and teamed up in battle

I threw a kensai into one of my custom games once and was astounded that it was only ONE man in the whole unit I thought that this guy had to be the equivalent of a japanese superman so when one unit (yari spearmen) on a bridge broke before heavy samurai cavalry I sent him running in I think he might have killed 1 man and boom he was gone...

unless he's only good against enemy flanks I think that whole 1 guy in a unit is BS

i NEVER uses hebrew thing on the comp, not even an hebrew windows because
a) english is no problem
b) 90% of the things crash with hebrew because it all flliped (you write hebrew from right to left unlike english, and how unfortuntly like arabic)

the problem is that at the last time i used a mod, a whole backup (of the whole game (different game not MTW)) did'nt helped, and ever since then i have a trauma so i never install mods

Actually,

Playing as the Byzantine once and having neglected my navy -Cyprus got attacked by a French Crusade and an Egyptian Jihad on successive years. Needless to say the governor of Cyprus - a certain Basil Stratiocus got 2 more stars added.

The Jihad was much much harder to beat though as I was still a bit weak from the crusade and could only train another unit of spearmen. Plus the Jihad had more men and many many ghazis.

I agree with the emperor - shooting down running ducks on a bridge with tonnes of missile units is tonnes of fun. Peasants or RK they are all the same. Go Valencia

Amir, I am interested in hearing more about that battle - 40 HA vs 120 Kats ? I am intrigued. That really is something special

I've been able to kill off 60 men (1 full unit YS=good spearmen) several times with one kensai, 120 men with high valor ones.
Imagen an army with 16.
