Automatic log?

Fellow generals,
one of the most enjoyable things for me about MTW is the battle replay feature. I would love to have a similar one foer campaigns. I would enjoy writing a brief history account of a particular campaign.. But keeping track of the information necessary is tedious.

Are there any tools to help with that? I would like a way to log all building creations, all battle results, death of kings, alliance changes etc. to come up with an accurate history of my faction.

Currently I either save a game every few years for that purpose (I never reload a game to change a battle outcome
http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smokin.gif ) or more often get a screen shot of important events for later, as well as save replays of major battles. Problem is those TGA screenshots are space hogs and saving his often interrupts the game play.

You ask for a feature many of us would like to have. That would be really cool.

I heard (but dont know where or names) that there are programs that simply records every thing on the screen and creating a movie, and that can work not only on MTW but on every thing, but as the brackets says i dont know names of such specific programs but i'm sure that a quick google search will find something.

yes, fraps it is.

But the movies are HUGE, for only 10 secs recording a movie will be around 50 mb.

not 50 MB but yes its will be a big file but i think thats the only option.
