HI guys,

I will organise a Hotmeeting with many "old" players, so maybe u guys come online at this 1 day and play together vs each other.

the date will be the 6th juli, and the time around 1800 GMT. (we can discuss this)

We will open a chatroom with a pass, just Wellknown names can enter the room!

i think about a little tourney, wich we can play at this 1 day!
It will be fun to see the old guys and play some battles, i just hope we see many of u!

so plz give some impulse or ideas...

Hehe, a bit of elitist attitude there Koc. Plus there are several that play a lot on MI and played for some months and have high honour - those would think that they're old vets... http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif

However we should mix with newbies not go on our own...or else the community would die out.

anyway the most guys wich play right now change theyr names every day and just to speak shit again.

so yes, maybe it sounds elitist, but i dont speak about the skill of players just about the online atitude!

if u dont believe, plz og online and see read ....

every 2nd word is f*** and so on....
i think many guys left coz this online behevior of just a few idiots.

You guys are the problem with the community.
you only care about yourselves, and all you do is complain. You do not include the new players, which this community needs. All you do is bitch at the new players when they make a mistake. Then they apoligize and you acuse them of doing it on purpose. I have witnesed this many times. Yesterday for example, A new player (i will not metion any names) saw that he was going to be defeated, so he thought he would just esc to save time. Back in the Foyer a better known player
would not shut up about a new players simple mistake. He could have handled it without any flaming but he choose not to. So i conclude that just because you 'well known' players think you are better than everyone.
I know that this is common in all online games, but certainly a hella load more in this game.

Kocmoc did not use the word elite,

he did not use the word veteran,

he used the word old,

meaning us old rusty fogies that have been playing since STW and that have been, more or less, constant contributors to the community,

he wants us to try to rally people like Obake, Grinning Monk, Yabusama, TakaRatta, KumaRatta, TenkiWarPriest, The Daimyo, Lanza, Finch, Loredweller, Dragon, Etoko, Widda, Zylobe, Metaky, Major Robert Dump,
and a whole host of people who I'd have to trawl through my CD archives of old threads to remember them all
(apologies to any I missed, and any I included but have been unfortunate enough to missed seeing over the last month or two)

people we know, and that definately do not flame away in the foyer
- at least I hope no-one i remember on that list was a flamer...

not elitist at all, he wants to catch up with some old mates and have a few beers from the skulls of vanquished ashi's is all...

maybe an idea for u 'older' players to get in touch with those that have left.

if each daimyo of each clan post the topic and date at thier clan site, a player who doesnt play anymore might be havin a look around. then maybe word will spread.

ofcourse new players are welcome i mentioned in an upper post already just not the guy who change theyr names to bring us theyr "nice language".

I personal would love to see many of this old guys again with whm we had so many nice battles, im sure some of them are out of train http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif

but im sure we dont care about the skill of the different players.

im sure it will be fun to play in a 4v4 with guys where u know, they dont hit esc or break a rule wich the players agreed at the start.

we can use patch 1,02 or 1,03 how u like...

i never spoke about "elite"....or something nether i spoke about skill, skill isnt so important, just bring some time and fun with u....that will be enougth...

it would be nice if u guys would post this date on other forums too... if we all work together im sure we can bring a lot of the guys back for at least this 1 day...

there are many guys i miss, so plz come and share some of ur time with ur old friends...

It isn't that we don't respect the new players; it's that we miss our old friends who have left us.

Don't mistake our desire to enjoy our friends for disdain for new players; it's just that you weren't around when we formed our original friendship bonds.

The player in question is not new.

He has been around for some time, and has consistently refused to respect others -- primarily his abuse of new players is the problem.

It is feared that he drives away people who are attempting to join the online experience, but encounter this kind of foul treatment.

This sort of thing should be stopped.

When people treat each other with respect, i.e. by not cheating or escaping or ruining games, the entire community benefits.

It's called trust.

Just a question here. I have only just come back to play shogun after leaving at what now seems the peak point of shogun.Seems I got out in time http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif.Playing different games online I have found the communitys far more able to get along.Newcomers(term rookie is slightly insulting)and vets co-exsist more aless without trouble.Granted every server without exception is bound to have a few trouble makers (newcomers & vets) but thats to be expected.Maybe part of the problem is shogun players are far too serious. I remember all the trouble I use to cause on this server but people look back foundly now at it because at least it was intresting. But the two sides in this argument are going to have to come to terms with each other fast. Otherwise shogun as no future and medievil will be plauged with the same problem.

Hmm i only have 1.02, so maybe i am just a boy and will never find the entrance to the men's world? ( Hehe Monsta)

Hey im not very old age wise (16 2 weeks ago) but ive been playing this game for ages since good ol Shoggy Total War, some of you might remember me as Morpheus, ya know annoying pesky little shit. I remember the good old days when everyone used to attack in a big line and always flank with cavalry to get general , this is why people started using their gen as yari sam if i remember correctly. So can i come along to this thing koc it sounds like fun.

i think kocmoc's idea is the best idea that has show up in at least 4 months. im not an old player or vet, as i have only been playing 7 months.But i have seen players leave the game through things that happen in the main foyer of the game. i have heard mention of old names and players that i have never seen. it would have been nice to play some of these guys and to meet them. so a meeting of older players would be great for the community and maybe some trusted friends of some older players will be invited to meet u all.

good luck with ur quest to reunite old friends.

im back from vacation and they date will be the next saturday (6th july) i think the best time is around 21:00 GMT till...open end ofcourse.

all are welcome with good manners, how i posted already, the skill isnt important, just bring some time and fun with u, plz use ur old wellknown name...

some guys use the patch 1,03 the other 1,02 os its maybe the best, if u have both patch avalaible.

I hope we get a lot of players so we can play some little fast tourneys or if u want just some fun games or ffa games...whatever all is possible...
