Awaiting Authorisation

Dear Moderaters,
I've been asked by one of your forum users namely Nomad, to find out if his accounts been put on hold indefinitely or If his present status is a mistake. Apparently he's sent several emails to forum moderators concerning his inability to use the forums facilities but as yet has not been dignified with a response. I believe he was as you say flamed by a rather argumentative forum member who then retracted his statment so that other forum users could not read its inflamatory contents. He believes his response to these comments and actions, has either incited the offending party to hack into and spike his Guild Account or his use of the forum has been suspended because of the way the edited post and his response now read. He was told he was a Dick and to Get a life. After what he states was a tame comment about the injustice of war. Nomad's mobility is impaired and he requires crutches to move about. Getting a life is a little more difficult for him than most. Please at least do him the decency of an explanation.

Hi fellas: awaiting authorization usually means that a member has registered, but not logged in yet, activating his account. Problems with that are often the result of a mangled or not accepted cookie. I'll look into it.

256 posts would put him past junior patron status somewhat.

Not sure what the awaiting authorisation means unless he has some sort of login issue.

It looks like Nomad's account is messed up. He was promoted on January 27 of this year (See the Promotions to Senior Patron thread). This does happen every now and then. Heck, sometimes the entire account disappears. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

Thankyou for your replies. It looks like the problem with Nomad's account is most likely technical. Which is more pleasant than the alternative. Nomad doesn't wan't to get anybody into trouble and would like to forget about the issue of flaming as its probably incidental and is circumstantial as evidence. He is wondering of course if his account can be fixed. Or if not what are the alternatives as He doesn't want to lose his forum privileges and have to start as a new member again.

I was kinda wondering about that when I read that thread. Good to see that it has been sorted out.
