This may be previously asked many times ,

but is there a way to increase or change the battle ai?

i find this to be far too easy in campaign mode even on expert mode, the computer will reguarly make foolish decisions like charging my spears with cavalry and chasing after my skirmishing horse archers, only to be flanked and routed.

Nope, you can't-but I believe some mods make the AI create better armies, thus increasing the challenge on the battlefield. If you want to, I expect playing MP will provide a tough challenge for anyone in battle. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Of course, that won't make the SP any harder.
