Does anyone out there know how to make a unit that never flees. Im beginning to make new units and i want to make an elite unit that never flees. But i don't know what .txt file to mod, or have any clue whatsoever.

Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

goto options... turn off morale and fatigue, i think that might help, though i don't know if they will completely stop routing but it would be a start.

It has also bothered me that some of the more elite or crazy units will not fight to the death. Ghazis are supposed to be fanatical, but when they get sufficiently beat down, they run. Not the best way to get to heaven, huh? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-surprised.gif

I also wish that the really elite guys like royal knights, varangian guards, ghulams, etc. would not run away like a bunch of pansies if say, the king or a prince were on the field or in command. Would be harder to put implement, but would be friggin cool to have a last stand where there is no option other than to fight to the death.

If you turn off morale and fatige all units will fight to the death and all units will never tire. I want to make a specific unit fight to the death, not all of them

Only way to do so is to raise the morale of the unit. Make it elite, disciplined and ungodly morale, in the order of 50+? not sure what is the ceiling or there is a ceiling in the first place.

Just build the uber units in a provence with a lot of moral upgrades(churches and the like)/It would also be a good idea to build it in a provence that gives it a valor bonus, with that will also raise moral.

NO i want to mod a new unit
Not create a already existing one.

yep. a good example is the african heavy camel in kekvitmod. it has 30 morale and I've never seen it run. makes bersekers look like a bunch of pansies.

Just edit the base morale with the gnome editor, 35+ will do it.
