Anyone who has Privateers Bounty may be interested in the 16th century mod now available at Sealords. A Russian chap called Ross and his son Alexei have managed to incorporate 16th and 17th century ship models from Seadogs into AoS2: Privateers Bounty. (NOT the plain AoS2). This will also play ONLINE. With up to 4 players. You will need a copy of PB to play it (it's pretty damn cheap if you don't have it, but non-US people will have to get it shipped over), and it's pretty damn good. Also includes a decent drag-and-drop editor (the original PB editor), so you can construct your own battles. Gameplay is excellent for sailing and sinking Dons ;)

It's available here:

PB Downloads (http://www.sealordsvf.org/phpatm/index.php?PHPSESSID=4f538fe32cbe3bcf83520562e2bcf71a&direction=0&order=&directory=PB%20mods)

You need to check out the dl.txt file and cut and past the url in there into a browser wndow, which will start the download. There is a txt file in the downlaod that tells you how to install it. Then you need the shipdata.ZIP, which will allow you to use the new ships.
It's pretty straightforward (I managed to do it, can't be that hard ;)).

You may also want to check out the SL forums. It's not pirates, but it's quite a laugh roleplay wise. Spot me there if you can ;)
