Fakeserver - can chat but no game...

I have recently bought Shogun Total War Warlord Ed to play against a friend. However, none of the servers are working. So we tried to set up fakeserver. We can now chat in the game, but we cant see games that the other person has hosted, so we cant actually play

Please please please help as it is driving us mad. We have noticed that there is no accept button on the host game page, but is that important ? We only saw the accept button in the manual

The STW MI/WE server is still up, in fact I'm logged in right now. The accept button only appears after someone has joined your game. Firewalls and routers often get in the way of hosting.

Hi m8,
as Mime said you need to set your computer, because Shogun is not able to work properly with firewall (http://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/sDefinition/0,,sid14_gci212125,00.html) and router (http://searchsmallbizit.techtarget.com/sDefinition/0,,sid44_gci212924,00.html).
If you cannot see games hosted it's not your computer problem, but it's the hoster problem.
BTW: to play on-line with the current community (a bit small indeed)you need the 1.02 patch. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
