ok, so i made a new faction in early following starkhorne's guide, worked great, great stuff, when i was a few decades into the campaign i noticed something...

dealing with a previous mod i tried out, i had only enabled the swiss in all 3 time periods, copying the appropriate files and such and moving them nicely into high and early...
this has worked great, played around with their faction behavior stuff and all,
the swiss faction leader unit being the swiss armoured pikemen...
...anyway with the 1st campaign with the new mod including the new faction, the swiss had not moved from switzerland, never paid them much attention, as i was rushing through really, and kinda trying to get a grasp of the other faction's behaviors if i sat around....but when i had checked them, the AI had been assigning them mere archer units i believe as their royalty, and i didnt understand this as it wasnt so in my other mod without a new faction, so i went through with Gnome to assure swiss would produce armoured pikemen as royalty, and since the early time period worked before for them, and i had not altered the swiss in any way from working in previous mod to working in mod with a new faction, i thought it would be fine...
after i did this, i was unable to even load the mod, getting error...unknown unit type, column 2 row 76 750...
even when i went back and erased it from the new faction mod's crusaderunit and replaced it with the one from my other mod which is what it was all copied from in the 1st place, i get same error...
does anyone know anything about this? sorry all this was so long, just an odd problem, mod worked fine with swiss in early until i did something to get swiss armoured pikemen to work for the royalty like it was working in the other mod...thanx peeps... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-wall.gif
