Right here are mine, in no order:

1/ Things to do in denver when your dead

2/ Suicide kings(hilarious role)

3/ The Deer Hunter

4/ Pulp Fiction(only there for around 5 minutes but stole the show from everyone)

5/ Waynes world 2( at his sarcastic, dry best imo)

6/ True Romance( Fantastic, evil. The energy with him and dennis hopper is great)

7/ Sleepy Hollow( doesn't say much but still kicks ass)

8/ The Funeral

9/ King of New York( Frank white is the man)

10/ A tie this one, Biloxi Blues( True style as the sergeant everyone loves to hate) or the Prophecy( As the evil angel Gabriel, nuff said)

Wayne's World 2 or Sleepy Hollow, i think anything with Johnny Depp is worth watching and love Christopher Walker in it too, he's a great actor. I'm sure some of you have seen it, not a film, but the Fat Boy Slim video where Mr Walker does some amazing jazzy dancing while flying around the room https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif brilliant (not too keen on the music tho but thats taste).

Mousehunt is a great laugh, i forgot about that.

He's a fantastic actor and stands out in all the films he's been in. Anyone seen 'Blast from the Past'? He's great in that.

And i have to agree with Chunkynut that the Weapon of Choice (Fat Bot Slim) video is just magic

He's so good I even use one of his quotes as my sig...

Yep that's the one. Also has Alicia Silverstone in it. Great comedy performance from Walken as the paranoid father who makes his family live in a nuclear bomb shelter in their garden for 20 years.

Walken is one of those actors, Gene Hackman is another IMO, who is always watchable no matter what the film. I think it's a combination of attitude and also great skill as an actor. The Fat Boy Slim video was jaw-dropping, although I recently read that Walken was a dancer before he got into film which makes it slightly less surprising.

I can't recall the name of the film, but he freaked me out in the one with Sean Penn and Madonna's song Live to Tell. Worst father ever, TM.

One outstanding actor, a most formidable player All of the movies mentioned are great, but there is also a trilogy called “Prophecy”, I believe, where he has saved a mediocre/poor movie with his miraculous appearance of the fallen archangel. Incredible player.

Voig, he did save that film. Also Vigor Mortenson who plays old Nick is very good in it.

Navaros, thanks for mentioning last man standing, completely forgot that.

You wouldn't shoot an un-armed man in the back lines are great in that mexican bar scene

Oh too many to chose He is such a great actor, but I think he does the mobster roles best. He was great in True Romance, and in Things to do in Denver when you are dead as 'the man with the plan'. He can play just about anything, I like the Gene Hackman comparison, very true indeed.

I quite like him in The dogs of War as a mercenary as well, quite a Haunting performance. His acting in the Russian Roulette scene in The Deer Hunter is amazing, John Savage and De Niro are also amazing. The facial emotions each times he presses the trigger or the slapping across the face by the viet cong guards are so brilliantly done. Top, top actor

To my memory Walken's best performances are found in The Deer Hunter, The Dead Zone and Pennies from Heaven (for his dance skills). In fact virtually all of his decent performances are found early in his career. But is Walken a great actor? Not even close.

Now seriously guys, your comments lead me to believe you are high all on psychotropic drugs. Christopher Walken, at least the Walken of the last 10-20 years, is one of the most overrated actors of our time. He acts the exact same way in every single role he plays What's worse is that when he's acting he uses almost the exact same cadence and enunciation style as William Shatner His failure to drop that thick New York accent also makes it difficult for me to accept him as anything but the guy next door or a gangster.

Walken acting 'style' has made into a living cariacature of himself. I simply cannot take him seriously anymore. I often hang out with a good friend of mine (who's an actor, a working one at that) to share some beers and watch some flicks. We rarely miss an opportunity to catch Walken's latest offerings, not because we expect a great performance but because we know Walken is going to 'Walkenize' his performance and give us some cheap laughs. Things You Do in Denver When You're Dead was a positively awful film but it was made into a first rate comedy simply through the addition of Walken.

I'm shocked and stunned and putting fatty Shatner in the same sentence has reduced me to near cardiac arrest https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I can see the same style but thats why i love him so. The same with De niro, he uses the same acted style, as does Pacino, robin williams and many others, to many to name. Hearing De Niro trying to say Hereford in Ronin is priceless Hereford comes out as Herfod

[QUOTE]His acting in the Russian Roulette scene in The Deer Hunter is amazing...

I really got to agree with that...it has to be one of the most moving scenes in a movie....imho its up there with 'Chief' ripping out the water fountain and escaping from the asylum where Jack Nicholson had just been lobotomized....

which btw the way is my favorie movie of all time https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

my 2nd is 'life of Brian'...but it is a close call https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-blush.gif

And yes, some American actors can only play a part....as had been said, De Niro plays the same face muscles every movie...as does Clint, and others, not to mention...Dean??? err... Brando?

I rest my case M'lud https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-toff.gif

How about the times he has hosted SNL? Two different skits come to mind:

1) The one where he met androgynous Pat and was so disturbed by his/her asexuality that he jumped out of a window;

2) The one where he was reading stories to a group of children and they were all afraid of him.

Ok, nobody's mentioned it yet, so I will. The Rundown. A cheesy movie, but, as usual, Walken's character brought some real humour to it (and, in fact, is the reason I watched it at all).

I think hes the only person that has never been a cast member and actually has his own SNL character.

I have to agree with you there... he didn't even say a single line but had a great presence onscreen.

few actors can accomplish that without uttering a single word (Unless you count Ssssshhh and Raaaaaggghh as words)
