Random maps?

Since this is my first post, might as well ask a dumb question.

I saw that the ExpPack will have a map editor. Do I also assume that when I start a new Full Campaign, I'll be able to have it generate a random map or will I only be able to load a custom map?

Luckily, yours wasn't a stupid one either. I've thus far assumed the map editor would only be able to edit tactical battlefield maps, but I don't have the entire EA press release on hand right now, so... Did they mention a strategy map editor as well? Gamespot.com talks about editing your own strategic scenario, but that could be just a misunderstanding (what is a strategic scenario anyway?).

CA/DT actually have promised (in the distant past that is) that they would be releasing new historical battles and MP maps for free at totalwar.com. I don't know if this will ever be realized, now that the editor is in the works... Those people have other things to do, with the expansion and all.

And BTW, ronin are poor, homeless outcasts while ashigaru have a steady job. You may be a salaryman, BakaGaijin, but at least you're making a living http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
