I heard it stopped at 0 BCE (or however that would work out). But yeah, no huns, Goths etc. Mabye they'll make two expansions? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
edit: Hmm... why is my post on top? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Well it depends how much work CA want to do on an expansion.

Making a Viking like Expansion (smaller map/provinces) is one thing they could do and IMO a Hellenic expansion with focus on Greece (and of course would suit the CA style of always going back in time heh)

Having a Fall of Rome expansion would be a very big game and maybe not very likely. AFAIK CA said they planned on making only one expansion for RTW.

Edit: Forum acting weird..

I just read somewhere that RTW ends at A.D. 10 I saw the "Chalons" episode of TC, and I really wanna trample Rome under the hooves of my Huns It would appear CA is saving the Huns for the expansion, and that would suck because I was hoping we'd get the Hellenic-Alexander era for the expansion

What do you guys think?

In that case, one of our many talented modders may create there own "expansion", when they get the time.

An expansion dealing with the chaos in Europe during the Germanic migrations (the huns were only on the scene briefly and in relatively small numbers, their great power lay in their ability to briefly bring a large number of Germanics to their fold with charismatic leadership and the promise of land and plunder)would be almost impossible to implement with any resemblence to history. Borders did not really exist, tribes had split apart under warlords who had accumulated wealth from within the empire, "Roman" armies
(by this time mostly federates, independant allies to the layman, as well as local conscripts)revolted constantly androamedaround plundering and raiding, authority had become completely decentralized and only the eastern emperor had any direct control over his realm.
To portray this small scale, fluid, political situation would, I think, really not be very possible with RTW.
That is not to say though that the battles wouldn't be cool.

I don't think i'd be that hard. They've abandoned the province border thing, as now armies can move freely in their own zone. They could also make Rebellions extremely sparatic, and also make the AI for the Rebellions extremely aggresive. It would be especially bad in the Western Empire, I do believe they will make an Expansion into the Fall of Rome.

They'll make a Fall of Rome Expansion.

Really though, the expansion should be something that DOES add on but makes a seamless addition so that after buying the expansion, in theory, you can play a Roman empire building campaign from the lowly beginnings, to the mighty zennith, to the crumbling endings..... https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-2thumbsup.gif

^^

i like that idea. espiecally since it will let me beat the germans at teutobourg forest and expand the empire all the way to the Vistula

Every expansion had "barbarian" invaders of course,Mongols in STW,Vikings in MTW,and probably Huns in RTW....well i'm hoping for huns, but i would'nt be surprised if they did an Alexander the Great expansion that coincides with the hype that would surround the release of the Alexander the Great movies in the cinema https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wacko.gif

yeah it would just be kind of boring for people that dislike the Roman faction (compared with the "barbarian" cultures) and it would be semi-difficult to set that whole deal up
