I was just thinking what are the differences between playing the original MTW (what I am doing now) and playng MTW with some of the pathes or different mods? And one more stupid questions what exactly is an mod? I suppose this sound really foolishly. Sorry https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif what can I say except that I am really becoming to fall in love with this game and want to know everything. I hope this will excuse me for my stupidity. Thanks in advance.

A mod is simply a modification of the original game. A mod often contains new playable factions, new units, and sometimes even new provinces. Mods make the game more challenging and fun.

Hello .org Forum,
I'm glad to be back after a long vacation so to say. I was the guy who sprang some interesting discussions here about the Glorious Achievement mode in MTW, namely about: Crusades.
I haven't played MTW in a while, though I have developed a keen interest in Rome:TW. I have studied system requirements thoroughly and have some interesting conclusions to share with you, if I could just go beyond this Entrance Hall.
y'see, I would like to contribute in helping out with a modification for Rome, if that's alright with you. I heard that totalwar.org, despite a little nit-picky on historical accurateness, has a wonderful modding community.
I would even go so far as to borrow a professional copy of 3D studio max of a friend of mine to mod. He has agreed to do so if I'm either seriously taking part in a project, or seriously starting up a project myself.
Awaiting your reply,
sincerely,

You should definitely patch the game to 2.01 (VI patched) and you'll get the ability to choose the order of reinforcements but without the 56 year bug...
