Few fun anymore, there are guys that just want to make fun of you and annoy you.

I was ingame with an undercover vet and he was pestering me during deploy with 'is that called teamplay', 'does this happen in all of your battles?' and others. We went ingame and I kicked this guy hard...I was like:

"yes this happens in most of my battles" http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

It was very satisfying at the end ( http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif) but still stuff like this make the game boring; and then you discover that undercover vet was somehow a supposed 'friend'.

terazawa yes the game has a few dishonourble people sometimes they make the game fun by beating them sometimes they ruin it but never the less these people will always be around in every game in every forum and there is no excaping it http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif but never the less since u dont play much they have on and u r not here there for if u come back and join there will be more good people and it will be more fun http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/redface.gif

See I would play, and I don't want to bother anyone, I mean I know I'm not too good, eventhough sometimes I have crazy ideas that work in the end. Too bad I can't register. All I've been doing is playing custom battles, coming on here to complain about it, and getting people in trouble by asking too many questions http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif

Another factor is that new games draw people away from an older game. This game is 2 years old since STW was released in June 2000. STW peaked at around 100 players on weekends 6 to 8 months after release. Attendance was already in decline when WE/MI was released in August 2001. WE/MI split the community since it operates on a separate server and the STW v1.13 compatibility patch was never released. WE/MI was only drawing about 30 players on weekends until v102 was released 3 months later. Attendance climbed and peaked at around 60 about 3 months after that and has been in decline ever since. I think we are back to about 30 players at peak times.

u got to think bout this as peak has climed higher then that i have senn i go to 50+ in the last month no that was a fun time u could host a game and it would fill
instintly and still have ppl saying i missed out on this one now that was a fun day

I haven't seen 50 in quite a while, but that's better than I thougth we were doing. Maybe the v103 stat which was released at the beginning of June helped.

Too many macho, foul-mouthed, egotistical,a$$holes who not only piss everyone off but drive away the new players...which are the players this game needs more than other.

That plus the fact that this game has been out for basically 2 years as Puzz has already mentioned. Pretty hard for the normal person to stick with a game religiously that long.

I?m new to online play but have been playing Shogun since its original release, not that you will notice if you play against me, I do miss that pause button! (Its taken this long for me to want more from a great game).
I have encountered several people online who just want to annoy other players.
Hopefully they will move to the new game when it?s released and leave us to enjoy ours.
Thanks to those of you who have taken the time to play a newbie, I?m looking forward to many more battles.

Only registered for MI/WE last week with the kind help of another player after two weeks of registration hell.
I will re-register or stop using my present details if there is a conflict with the person who registered me ref. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/Forum2/HTML/001008.html.

Due to commitments only been able to connect late at night (GMT) would be online now if only it was working. You will see me more in the future (every day if I get the chance)
I have lost every game so far but have enjoyed ever single minute.
One quick question
NinjaKilla states playing on the STW and MI servers. Is it possible to play on the STW server if you have MI or WE installed? Is it only the registration details that separate the two games?
