Questions about tMTW battle collection.

Hey everyone, MTW Battle Collection is in the mail on its way in a few days and I have a few question to ask.

1: Does the Battle collection come pre patched and if not do I need all the patches or the latest one for each.

2: Is the online community good?

3: What are the few things that bug you in the game?

1. AFAIK, the Viking Invasion CD-ROM comes with the 2.01 patch in the battle collection. I bought the BC too in the beginning of this year, and as far as I can remember I didn't have to patch the VI install.
If I remember correctly you'll have to patch up the vanilla MTW install though (although I wouldn't see why you'd not install the VI immediately, like I did).
(I played vanilla MTW first, without installing the VI expansion, because I assumed that the Viking Invasion would overwrite the MTW install, leaving me with a Viking game only. Silly me. Should have read the box more carefully https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-grin2.gif )

2. Yes, but there seem to be some guys on-line who are not so keen on what they call n00bs. I suggest that, if you want to play on-line, you just post here a few times and ask some MP veterans to introduce you to the on-line community. 3. I really hate the annoyingly randomness of the naval battle system. Aargh. You should not be surprised when one lonesome barque sends your full stack of fire galleons to the bottom of the sea (I exagerate now, but it's a generally accepted fact that the naval battle system is just baaaad).

Hi Mamrey,a few pointers for online play.Get accustomed to the game for a week or 2 by using the tutorial and playing a few 1v1 custom battles aginst the computer ai.Ive seen more than a few players online having there first mtw battle ever and they dont tend to last long.This can put people off the mutiplayer scene.Once you get used to the game and get online there are many players there who will give advice if your not too proud to ask for it.Good luck.
