i have been playing MTW for a while now and have just decided to try some of the 'cheats' out,to see just how much easier it would be to win, well i entered the 'cheat' for all units and buildings. They have all come up but it wont actually let me train them, i select them and put them in the queue but nothing happens the next year and all my enemies also now have uber units compared to my peasants n stuff, any explanation of this would be helpful.

Sorry if this isnt allowed.

The reason you cannot train some units or build some buildings is that sometimes your faction(or religion) does not have permission to.
There are 2 text files in the MTW folder named Crusader_unit_prod11(soldiers,agents,ships) and Crusader_build_prod13(buildings).These 2 files are filled with all the info and stats on the buildings and units and the requirements for producing them.Download the GNOME_EDITOR from the ORG file section to edit these files if you wish.PLEASE make back-up copies of the files first and be very careful because even a small mistake will cause the game to either not load or to crash even if it does.
IF THIS HAPPENS simply copy and paste the original files back into the MTW folder.

Hope that was of help. https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Be carefull with the all buildings & units cheat, because IIRC the cheat applies to the AI too.

I used this cheat a few times for making screenshots of the unit icons, and when I did so when 'playing' the Almohads, I got overrun by (no exageration) 4 crusades before 1100. I believe that I also entered the build everything in one turn cheat, so that may have speed up the process a bit...
It was a funny experience anyway.

Ah ok thanks you two https://forums.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-2thumbsup.gif , learned some stuff i didnt know there. Think i'll just start it again and do it properly though, probably more rewarding when i win anyways.

Believe me, no matter how long it takes to win the hardest possible campaign, no matter how many times you wish to quit, it feels all the better once you've done it.
Heck, I should include it in my signature
