I call to arms all tactical geniuses and war-game addicts! We must change the face of Video-gaming in these sad, shoot-em up, click-fest, times. We must utterly destroy the senseless and inane emphasis on arcade-style games, and exhalt the superiority of battle-field tactical simulations.
WarGamers, UNITE!
err, ehem...Anyone got any ideas of how to do that?
I dont understand why there is not a strong and distinct Wargame market for videogames. Avalon Hill company made tactical boardgames for years.... I know that there are Napoleonic wargamers, and Civil War Wargamers, and WWII wargamers.... There are a lot of people out there who like to simulate battlefield tactics.
One thing that sucks about wargame boardgames or "box" games, is that the rules are often very complicated and battles take forever to resolve. Computers are perfect for relieving us of that burden, and yet....STW is the only REAL wargame out there?
It boggles the mind. Methinks there is some money to be had by supplying us w/ our Wargame fix...
hopefully Activision will catch on and start suppling us w/ Sauce, wholesale.
