I was wondering if anyone knew what the monetary unit would be? (equvalent of florens)

Also I was wondering if there would be any new ways of accumulating wealth. Perhaps slave trade, like after a battle the captured soldgiers could be sold for money or when you capture a city. I hope CA will come up with some interesting ways of getting income i'm tired of mines, trade, taxes and farming.

It would be great to have any info.

Denarii

I do know that you can do missions for the Senate, either ones they offer or ones that you offer and they accept to underwrite.

In the RomeVid one faction offers to attack the Selucids within a year and asks what the Senate is willing to offer in the way of help and they fork out 385 denarii yo help the battle, essentially making your whole faction a Mercenary one. Very cool if you ask me.

Remember that captured soldiers can be sold for ransom. In MTW there are many ways of making money and I don't think Rome is likely to improve the list substantially.

But ransoming soldgiers means that the enemy gets the back (if the accept) selling them into slavery would mean that the could not.

And why are the romans using denarii the roman coin was called a sesterce.

I personally think that the monetary unit should be in Talents and not in the form of an actual coin.
