Welsh Infantry

Hi, i was wondering if anyone could tell me what infantry it is possible to get playing as the Welsh on the Viking Invasion map, they are the last faction i have to play as and i want to know what units i should aim for etc.

Seems odd that if this is your last campaign for VI and have no idea on the units of the welsh. Did the A.I. do you the favour of taking them out for you on your campaigns or do you need to upgrade your memory

Spearmen , Armoured Spearmen , Celtic Warriors , Archers and Welsh Bandits .
The Welsh bandits are quite effective {they have longbows and good melee} and well worth teching up for . I would advise to aim to get {eventually} armies of mostly Welsh Bandits Supported by Armoured Spearmen with Mounted Nobles for delivering the finishing blows to opposing armies . For the initial years {before you can afford such a force} , use a mix of Archers , Spearmen , Celtic Warriors and Horsemen supporting your Royal Bodyguard Generals with a bit more emphasis on archers than you might use in other armies so you get into the tatical habits that will most benifit when you get to feild those excellent Welsh Bandits .

I've either eliminated them early or the AI has done it for me.

Welsh will have quite a tough game on their hands.

Essentially, all your infantry are Light in nature when compared to the Saxons and Vikings.

I remembered playing as the Welsh and teching up as fast as possible so that i could churn out those Welsh Bandits. However in my first skirmish with the Vikings. My Bandits did nary a dent on their formation before they closed in for the Hand-2-Hand close fight.

But its fun...
