Hello Total War fans,
This is {Falchia_F}Pariya, I am here to inform you of two wonderful additions to the mtw community: a new Total War fan site ( http://www.totalclan.com ) designed mainly for the running of clan games and tournaments, and a new tournament (Tournament Invictus). The site is still under construction and more will be added to it every week. It was created by [Fex]Pyrit, and his work will be well appreciated, I am sure of it. “Invictus” is a 4v4, non-clan, tournament. The first competition of “Invictus” will be held before the release of R:TW to commemorate the great M:TW years/ Then it will continue into R:TW. We are accepting submissions for competitors up until August 11th. You may reach the forum for signups at http://www.totalclan.com/totalclanforums.
The rules for the tournament may be reached from the total clan forum or here:
Basic Facts
The Invictus is a 4v4 elimination style tournament.
There are no rules as to who can enter.
This is not a clan based tournament; you can enter with whomever you want.
Teams of 4 will play each other, the winning team advancing to the next round.
Once the winning team, The Invictus, has been declared winner they will automatically advance to the final round in the next tournament.
These Tournaments will last throughout the Total War series.
Each winner will receive a special medal and logo, compliments of Pyrit, to display on their sites, or to admire whenever they like.
Moderators
Moderators for the tournament will be elected by the community; if enough people yell enough for someone then that person is guaranteed a spot as a moderator.
However, moderators cannot participate in the tourney, and if they are
caught cheating or helping friends participating in the tourney in any way
whatsoever they will be banned from the tournaments indefinitely
Game settings
All the games will be played on a steppes inland map-randomly selected by the mods.
All games will be played on arid.
All games will be played in a randomly selected season -- chosen by the mods.
The moderators will randomly select 8 factions for the two teams, each
receiving the same faction.
The teams can decide which of the 8 to use, however no team can have more than 1 player using the same faction.
All games will be either: 10k, 11k, or 12k -randomly selected by the mods.
There is no limit on troops, you may get as many or as few of any unit you like.
There will be three matches to decide which team advances.
If 1 team wins the first two games, a third will not be played.
Each game will have randomly reselected settings- as stated above- the three games will not be played on the same settings.
Courteousy
It is permitted to cuss in a Invictus game - this is simply so we do not get hundreds of screenshots form sore losers who want rematches because 1 of the opponents said a cuss word.
However, excessive usage of foul language will not be permitted and the
offenders will be kicked from the tourney- however the team itself will still advance to the next round if they won the games- they will just need to replace the teammates that were kicked out.
Those kicked out will be permitted to enter the next tourney.
Deciding on whether to kick someone from the tournament is up to the mods.
Brackets
The brackets for the tournament will be relabeled-each spot will be given a number example
1
>
2 1, or 2
>
4 4, or 3
>
3
The teams will be assigned spots in the order they entered the tourney.
The first team to enter will take spot 1.
The second will take spot 2.
The third will take spot 3, and so on.
There is no limit as to how many teams may enter during the signing up stage.
The brackets will be preselected for 10 teams.
However any amount of teams over 10 that enter will be factored in by the mods.
Thank you for your time and attention. I hope you will enjoy the site and tournament, a lot of work has been put into both (mainly by Pyrit).
