The stratigic map looks a bit confusing as far as borders goes. But I read somewhere that you can zoom in and out A LOT as it is fully 3d and basically the same terrain as in the battle maps.

No borders in this game as such.It is more of a case of areas controlled by the influence of strong cities.Just because your army is in an area will not mean that you control it or its income.Armies will be able to bypass each other.Think of the Civ games and that will be closer to what we will be playing on than the traditional TotalWar maps.

Brilliant graphics. Love the battles in the forests. I can't wait for this game. I hope it does come out in September
