####.............had me obsessed with finding that #### flag.All i could find was old maps of the region at the time of the ilkhanate with colors assigned to the factions(yellow for ilkhanate) but no flags.
There is a service on www.google.ie were professional researchers can find it for you for a small fee($2.50).
The closest i got was finding the SOYOMBO which is a symbol of the resistence to the manchurian invaders.

I can't find it anywhere, i might make a colour variation of the Golden Horde flag till i find the proper one:cool:

I FOUND IT

The reason we couldn't find it is because it was a totemised banner and not a flag.It is of an Eagles head and was used by all the Mongols and auxiliaries under his command and to define his borders.
We know that the Mongols used an X-shaped banner in general and that each Khan had his own banner.Ghengis had some sort of birds head also.
I dont know if it was used after Hulagu Khans death but it is the only reference i can find to a banner/flag for Il-Khanate.

Is it a red eagle on a yellow background? I think i've found it as well. Thanks for the help mate:)

Sorry BKB.I wasn't able to get onto the site for some reason.
I didn;t see a picture.I got a description of Hulegu Khans banner.It was of an eagle.One of the maps i downloaded of the region showed the area of the Il-Khanate shaded in yellow.So i suppose a red eagle on a yellow back-ground would be appropriate.............well you'll get away with it anyway. http://212.238.194.39/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
